Frequently Asked Questions
How is the crop chosen?
Three ways: an exact box given as X, Y, width and height from the top-left; a width and height placed at one of nine anchors from centre to bottom-right; or a ratio such as 16:9, which takes the largest box of that shape the picture can give. Nothing outside the picture can be selected.
Can I crop a small photo up to a bigger size?
No. Cropping removes pixels rather than inventing them, so a box that reaches past an edge is shortened to that edge and the report names the edge, the size that resulted and how much of the picture was kept. Use the image resizer if you need more pixels.
